Lazy Blogger---But I Have a Great Excuse...

My Sweet Ali does such a fabulous and diligent job of posting on her own blog (theburrousfamily.blogspot.com) that I rarely post these days...but I did want to add a few of my own pics of Olivia's first Memorial Day Skilling Farm Pig Roast.

This was taken a few days before the roast, but I just love how O. loves her Grumps!

As for the pig roast, O. had a wonderful time, and who can blame her for not wanting to take a nap and miss all the fun?

It's not ALL fun...there are some "chores", but even those are often fun...there's the new compost (can you tell why he's called "Darth"?)
There's the centerpiece that needs to be created (hand picked by HoniGram and Auntie Nancy wildflowers):
There are the ancient Adirondack chairs that need their annual face lift:
 Tents to be "pitched":

...and that yummy low country boil that was Friday nights sumptuous meal (thanks, Frank!!):

...and let's not forget the umbrella drinks!

...and the "old ladies on the porch" knitting projects!
But, Olivia had a blast with her newest friends!

Swinging in the Park!

Sunday was a beautiful day---a hint of spring to come.  Olivia had fun at Lilburn Park, on the Greenspace as well as at the playground.  She especially loved the swing.

Here's a still of her swinging as well as a video (I wish I hadn't talked all the way through it!).

THREE MONTHS!

Is it possible that I've not updated this blog for THREE MONTHS!? Yes, sadly, it is. Olivia will be 4 months next Monday---time flies!

Ali has done such a fabulous job of updating The Burrous Family blog (http://www.theburrousfamily.blogspot.com/), with so many cute pictures of Olivia, et al, that I've not felt the need. However, today, I realized that the pictures that I take of Olivia during the day and send to Ali as "O. Updates" have not been shared.

Since we know she's the cutest thing since Shirley Temple (if you don't know Shirley, you're a young reader!) I thought I'd share some.

Now that Ali is back at work, Gigi (aka: Penny--Austin's mom) and I have settled into our every-other-week Olivia sitting very nicely, and, while I can only speak for myself, I will tell you that it's a perfect routine for me! It gives me time to visit my 90 year old mom and help her as well as visit and "play" with friends. Since retiring the end of January, this has been a fabulous routine.

OK--pictures, as promised (and these are from my iPhone, so I question the quality):
Olivia and "Grumps" (who really ISN'T) 2-13-11
I KNEW this day was near and sat right by O. as she learned to SWOOSH out of her bouncy seat!
...and there she went---with me right there to catch her!
We are all very careful to "secure" her now...she still loves her chair and kicking, kicking, kicking!!
We LOVE music and this giraff from Gigi plays lots of songs!
My sweet cousin Alyse was in town (from LONDON!) and we had lunch with my mom at Parc, her retirement community.
We ADORE our sock people from "Aunt" Tedi!
This is a favorite from just yesterday...Bailey was quite surprised to find Olivia in her path when she came in from outside...Olivia thought it was hysterical!!

Snow, Snow, SNOW!

We are having quite a snow storm here in Georgia! Last night, you came over with mom and dad (and Uncle Pasquale!) for dinner and before you left, about 2 inches had already accumulated on the ground!

The usual 20 minute drive home took almost 90 minutes, but dad drove very carefully.

I love this picture of you under your Aunt Pat and Uncle Jack's blanket!

Here is a picture of our house in the snow today; and one of your Uncle Jeff when we took a walk.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year---Happy Baby!!

I've not posted since you were 4 weeks old and today you are SEVEN weeks old--how time is flying.

We had a marvelous Christmas and a terrific New Year at the farm. You stayed home for a quiet new year's eve at home with mom and dad.

Here are a few Christmas pics:
Uncle Jeff holds you while Honi Gram puts a "baby's first Christmas" ornament from Nancy S. on our tree.

You in one of your many Christmas outfits!
