WOW! You are now a full 11 weeks old...and this week you are the size of a fig!

Mom and Dad are doing fine and VERY excited about you!

Grandpa Dennis suggested adding some "news of the day/week" so you know what was happening in your soon-to-be-world, which I think is a GREAT idea (Thanks, Gramps!).

This week--MAJOR tornadoes broke loose in Mississippi:

...and there's been a MAJOR oil leak due to an iol rig that exploded off the coast of Louisiana.

I'll try to find GOOD news next week!!

This week you are the size of a kumquat. Amusingly enough, a number of your family members were unfamiliar with this fruit-so we learned TWO things this week: 1) your size and 2) what a kumquat is!!

Dearest Baby Burrous--I've never done a blog before, though I've enjoyed reading others' blogs. I'm inspired by Erika Hahn Tuttles' blog for Charlie--it's been a wonderful way to keep up with his young life.

I thought that maybe someday, you might like this "diary" of your young life. I'll start with this cute picture of your parents when they found out (for sure!) that you were on the way. This picture was taken by your other grandmother, Penny (aka-Gigi), a whiz with a camera!
