The baby is about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces.

The baby is busy moving amniotic fluid through the nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in the lungs begin to develop. The legs are growing longer than the arms now, and the baby can move all of its joints and limbs. Although the eyelids are still fused shut, the baby can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, he/she is likely to move away from the beam.

The baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his/her thumb! From head to bottom, it measures 3 1/2 inches and weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

A SHRIMP!?? Mom wrote: "to me, a shrimp is smaller than a lime, which is what he/she was last week, but what do I know?!"

The info below is from the pregnancy site that mom gets weekly updates from. Very interesting!
"Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head -- which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce. As you start your second trimester, most of your baby's critical development will be completed and your odds of miscarriage drop considerably".
